Privacy Policy

White Mountain Reading and Math LLC

Effective Date:  8/20/2026

White Mountain Reading and Math LLC ("White Mountain Reading and Math," the "Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of the families and students we serve. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit our website located at https://whitemountainreadingandmath.com(the "Website"), contact us, or enroll in our tutoring programs (collectively, the "Services").

Because our Services are designed primarily for children (students in pre-kindergarten through approximately fifth grade, and occasionally older students), we take particular care with information relating to minors. This Policy is written to be read and acted upon by parents and legal guardians. By using the Website or enrolling a child in our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

Please read this Policy carefully. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Website or our Services.

For any privacy-related question, request, or complaint, please contact us using the information above with the subject line "Privacy Request."

2. A Note About Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") and its implementing rule regulate the online collection of personal information from children under the age of 13.

Our Website is directed to parents and guardians, not to children. We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to create accounts, submit information through the Website, or otherwise provide personal information to us online. Information about a minor student is provided to us by the child's parent or legal guardian, typically offline (for example, on an enrollment form or through direct communication with the instructor), or online by the parent/guardian through our contact form.

Consistent with COPPA principles, we:

- collect information about a child only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian;

- limit the information we collect about a child to what is reasonably necessary to provide tutoring services;

- do not condition a child's participation in an activity on the disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary;

- do not use children's information for behavioral advertising and do not sell children's personal information; and

- give parents and guardians the right to review, correct, or delete their child's information and to refuse further collection or use of it (see Section 9, Parental Rights).

If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 online without verifiable parental consent, please contact us immediately at the address in Section 1, and we will promptly delete the information.

3. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

a. Information you provide about a parent or guardian. When you complete our contact form, request information, enroll a student, or communicate with us, you may provide your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, whether we may contact you by text, and the substance of your messages.

b. Information you provide about a student (minor). As part of enrollment and instruction, a parent or guardian may provide the student's name, age, grade level, school attended, learning needs, academic history or evaluations, scheduling availability and known times off, emergency contact information, and any health, allergy, or medical information the parent chooses to share so that we may provide services safely.

c. Session and instructional records. We keep instructional records such as attendance, session dates and times, lesson progress notes, materials assigned, and informal progress observations. These records help us tailor instruction and communicate with parents.

d. Payment information. Tuition and fees are paid monthly in advance by Zelle, cash, or check. We do not operate an online payment processor on the Website and do not collect or store credit-card or bank-account numbers through the Website. When you pay by Zelle or check, your financial institution — not White Mountain Reading and Math — processes the transaction, and we receive only the information needed to confirm payment (such as your name and the amount and date paid).

e. Information collected automatically on the Website. When you visit the Website, certain information may be collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. See Section 6 (Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking).

f. Third-party links (including Amazon). Our Website contains links to third-party sites, including Amazon, where curriculum books, storybook collections, and the instructor's separately authored children's books may be purchased. When you click such a link, you leave our Website and any information you provide is governed by the third party's own privacy policy, not ours. Purchases made through those links are processed by Amazon or the applicable retailer; we do not receive your payment-card details.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

- respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form or by phone, email, or text;

- schedule, provide, and adapt tutoring services to a student's needs and level;

- communicate with parents and guardians about sessions, scheduling, progress, homework, illness or weather cancellations, and account balances;

- process and confirm payments and maintain billing records;

- maintain instructional and attendance records;

- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Website;

- comply with applicable legal, tax, and regulatory obligations; and

- protect the rights, safety, and property of students, families, the Company, and others.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use students' personal information for targeted or behavioral advertising.

5. How We Share and Disclose Information

We share personal information only as described below:

a. Service providers. We may share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf — for example, our website host (GoDaddy), email or communication providers, and, if used, scheduling or bookkeeping tools. These providers are permitted to use the information only to perform services for us.

b. Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the safety of a child or any person, investigate fraud, or protect our legal rights.

c. Business transfers. If the Company is involved in a merger, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the commitments in this Policy.

d. With your direction or consent. We may share information when you ask us to or otherwise consent — for example, coordinating with a child's teacher, school, or another provider at a parent's request.

We do not rent or sell personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking Technologies

Our Website uses cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small text file placed on your device that helps a website function and can record information about your visit.

- Essential cookies allow the Website to operate and are necessary for basic functionality.

- Analytics cookies (for example, from a service such as Google Analytics, if enabled) help us understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve it. Where an analytics provider sets its own cookies, that provider's privacy policy also applies to the data it collects.

Where required, our Website displays a cookie banner to notify you of cookie use. You can control cookies through your browser settings, including by refusing or deleting cookies; however, some parts of the Website may not function properly if you disable certain cookies.

Do Not Track. Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, our Website does not currently respond to them. We do not track visitors across third-party websites for advertising purposes.

7. Data Storage, Retention, and Location

We store paper records securely at our principal office and store electronic information on password-protected devices and on services provided by reputable vendors located in the United States. We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or destroy it. Parents may request deletion of a student's information as described in Section 9.

8. How We Protect Information (Security)

We maintain reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include limiting access to information to the instructor and authorized personnel, using password protection and device security, keeping paper records in a secure location, and avoiding the collection of sensitive financial account numbers through the Website.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You provide information to us at your own risk, and you are responsible for keeping any credentials or communications you use with us confidential.

9. Parental Rights

As the parent or legal guardian of a minor student, you have the right to:

- Review the personal information we have collected about your child;

- Correct or update your child's information;

- Request deletion of your child's information (subject to records we are required to retain by law or for legitimate business purposes such as tax records);

- Refuse to permit further collection or use of your child's information, understanding that we may be unable to continue providing tutoring services if essential information is withheld or deleted; and

- Withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 1. To protect your child's privacy, we will take reasonable steps to verify that you are the child's parent or guardian before granting access to or acting on a request concerning the child's information. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable time and consistent with applicable law.

10. Your Rights Under New Hampshire and Other State Laws

New Hampshire law protects the security and confidentiality of personal information and requires notification in the event of a security breach involving certain personal information (see Section 11). Depending on where you reside, you may have additional rights under other state privacy laws to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. To make any such request, contact us using the information in Section 1, and we will honor rights that apply to you under applicable law.

11. Data Breach Notification

We take the security of family and student information seriously. In the event that we discover a security breach involving unauthorized acquisition of computerized personal information that compromises its security or confidentiality, we will investigate promptly and will notify affected individuals (and, where required, the New Hampshire Attorney General and other authorities) as required by New Hampshire's data-breach notification law, RSA 359-C:19 through :21, and any other applicable law. Notification will be made without unreasonable delay, consistent with the legitimate needs of law enforcement and any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the integrity of our systems.

12. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Website may link to or reference third-party websites and services, including Amazon and the website host's tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit through a link on our Website.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and post the updated Policy on the Website. If we make material changes affecting information already collected about a student, we will provide notice to affected parents or guardians as required by law. Your continued use of the Website or Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
